Libby Hruska is a longtime art book editor and part-time potter who lives and works in Berkeley, Calif. She spent many years living in New York, where she was on staff at both The Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and currently works as a freelance editor for museums around the country.
Being immersed in the visual languages of so many artists has helped to hone her own ideas of what is beautiful and interesting. She favors simple yet thoughtfully (perhaps obsessively!) refined forms and strives to make things that are both useful and beautiful. She hopes people will use her pottery regularly, adding to the pleasure of everyday moments.
